what the faq?
a.k.a. the part where i save you from emailing 'hi quick question...'
1. what materials do you use?
i use new materials, vintage pieces, pre-loved bits, repurposed items, stuff i modify, transform, or fully re-make, and things that probably weren’t meant to be wearable until i intervened
2. why isn’t my charm a perfect copy of the picture?
because i don’t 'manufacture' every single thing i use like a medieval artisan
some pieces i design, some i modify, some i transform, and some i source because they were cute and available
small variations and imperfections are normal and part of their charm (pun intended)
if you want something factory-perfect and cloned by machines, big-box stores sell plenty of those
if you want pieces with character, you’re in the right place
3. do these pieces break?
short answer: they can if you treat them like you’re opening a jar of pickles
long answer:
i put an absurd amount of care into making each piece sturdy (glue, adhesive, epoxy, jump rings, mini rituals, etc)
but they’re still tiny objects; they can handle normal life, not wrestling matches
if you:
🤛🏻yank them
💔crush them
🐶let your dog chew them
🥦apply hulk-level force
…they will break
treat them like the art they are, and you're good
4. will sold-out pieces ever come back?
maybe… maybe not...
some pieces are unique, one-of-a-kind, small batch
if a piece is gone, it’s probably gone forever
if it’s a popular design and i can restock the materials, it might return in a slightly different version
moral of the story: if you love something, get it immediately
the asthetic is fleeting, just like your attention span
5. do you do custom pieces?
yes! if your idea excites me, i’m 100% in
i love bringing weird, specific, unhinged visions to life!
I don’t copy other artists' work
send me your idea to popandjoy.studio@gmail.com
(include inspo and references if you have them)
customs usually take 1 - 3 weeks, but it can vary depending on materials, complexity, and whatever chaos is happening in my studio that week
if you’re on a timeline, let me know and i’ll let you know if it’s doable
6. do your charms fit other clog brands?
mostly yes
my charms are made for crocs, but i’ve tested them on originals, knockoffs, dupes, weird off-brand clogs, and they fit as long as the holes are normal size and shape and not doing anything suspicious
some get creative with the holes (why?? what was the reason??), so the fit can be too tight, too loose, or just… weird
if the material is super stiff , you might need to wiggle it gently
rule of thumb:
if the hole looks like it can fit a charm, it probably will
if the hole looks funky, do not force it like a caveman trying to plug in a usb
7. do the crocs come with the charms?
nope
sorry, fellow human: the crocs in the photos are just the models
unpaid interns
footwear background actors
you’re buying the charms only
i have to say this because people do ask 'where are the crocs?'
…in the photo, that’s where
8. how do i care for my jewelry?
fashion jewelry can tarnish, but if you treat it kindly, it’ll stay cute for a very long time
avoid:
💧water
🌹perfume
🧴lotion
💪🏻sweat
9. do you take bulk orders?
yes
it all depends on timing and how unhinged the request is
if you need a bunch of charms for:
🥳birthdays
💍bachelorettes
🛍️party favors
💼office things
👯a group who insists on matching like a tiny cult
email me with the date, quantity, and general vibe you’re going for
just remember: i’m one human, not a charm factory
ask early so i’m not running around like a headless chicken with a glue gun
10. do you offer wholesale?
yes
selectively
i’m picky in a cute way
if you’re a shop or boutique that wants to carry pop & joy, send me:
🏠your shop info
🗺️your location
🗿what you’re interested in
🌐your socials/website
if you’re cool, we’ll talk
if not…
love you, tho
11. material safety
pieces are not intended for small children
small parts = choking hazard
